2025 Fisker Alaska Electric Truck: What We Know So Far

Oct 27, 2023

All the latest insights on the upcoming 2025 Fisker Alaska electric pickup truck. Key details on the horizon.

Electric cars are snowballing rapidly and America’s favorite segment i.e., pickup trucks, are also getting electrified hastily. The Rivian R1T and Ford F-150 Lightning are both soaring in sales and the Tesla Cybertruck is right around the corner. However, both the Rivian truck and the Ford Lightning, are full-size pickup trucks. The upcoming Tesla truck and the GMC Sierra EV are also all set to gain admittance to the same segment.

This leaves us with a dearth of smaller compact and midsize electric pickup trucks. Fisker Inc. intends to fill this gap with the upcoming 2025 Fisker Alaska. Fisker calls the Alaska a super sport pickup truck that is also claimed to be the world’s most sustainable pickup truck when it launches. Fisker has revealed some imperative details of the 2025 Fisker Alaska including its expected price and launch timeline. Here’s everything we know about the 2025 Fisker Alaska.

We analyzed data on the Fisker official website and the Fisker Newsroom to deliver accurate information on the 2025 Fisker Alaska.

Looking at the recently released official images, the 2025 Fisker Alaska is stylish, sporty, and muscular. It might seem to sport a footprint akin to the Hyundai Santa Cruz and Ford Maverick. However, Fisker has officially stated that the Alaska will have a length of 208.8 inches, considerably longer than these compact trucks and right in the territory of midsize trucks such as the Honda Ridgeline. Also, the 2025 Fisker Alaska will run on 20 or 22-inch alloys. Fisker calls the Alaska a midsize pickup truck with the capabilities of a full-size truck.

A highlight exterior feature of the 2025 Fisker Alaska is its extendable cargo bed. The standard bed length of 4.5 feet can be expanded to 7.5 or even 9.2 feet utilizing the proprietary Houdini glass partition behind the rear seats. On the inside, the 2025 Fisker Alaska flaunts some unique touches including a cowboy hat holder, a massive cupholder, and a passenger tray with a tablet holder. We expect the added length of the Alaska to result in a capacious and practical cabin with enough space to accommodate five adults comfortably.

The 2025 Fisker Alaska will be based on the recently launched 2024 Fisker Ocean midsize crossover SUV. Hence, the Alaska will be energized by the same two battery packs as the Ocean, a 75 kWh base unit, or a larger 113 kWh module. However, due to the Alaska’s larger proportions, projected range and acceleration times might be a bit lower and slower than those of the Fisker Ocean. Similar to the Ocean, we expect the Fisker Alaska to be available in both single-motor-FWD and dual-motor-AWD configurations, invigorated by up to 564 ponies.

Fisker has revealed that the 2025 Fisker Alaska will arrive with an expected base price of $45,400. Reservations are already open, and you can now book one for $250. The brand has also confirmed that the truck will be made in the U.S. with production expected to start in the first quarter of 2025. Deliveries are also anticipated to begin the same year and the Fisker Alaska will be sold as a 2025 model year truck. Analogous to the Fisker Ocean, we foresee the 2025 Fisker Alaska to be available in Sport, Ultra, and Edition One trims initially. After being renamed and resurrected in 2016, Fisker Inc. launched its first electric vehicle the Fisker Ocean compact crossover in 2023. Currently, they have plans to expand their lineup with a number of electric vehicles across various segments. Does Fisker make a truck? Yes, Fisker has announced that they will commence production of their first compact electric pickup truck, the Fisker Alaska, in the first quarter of 2025.

The first pickup truck from Fisker flaunts a cleverly designed cargo bed that can be expanded to suit your needs. So then how big is the bed on the Fisker Alaska? In its standard configuration, it measures 4.5 feet in length. However, by electronically lowering the “Houdini” partition behind the rear seats of the Alaska, the bed can be expanded to 7.5 feet. Folding the rear seats down and dropping the powered lift gate can further extend the bed to a whopping 9.2 feet.

Initially known as Fisker Automotive, the brand was revived and relaunched as Fisker Inc. in 2016. But then who owns Fisker? Fisker Inc. is a public company founded and headed by Henrik Fisker (Chairperson & CEO) and Geeta Gupta-Fisker (CFO & COO).

The all-wheel-drive Fisker Ocean electric crossover can tow up to 4,000 lbs and the Alaska sports the same underpinnings as the Ocean. So then, how much can a Fisker Alaska tow? The Fisker Alaska will surely be able to tow 4,000 lbs just like its counterpart. However, to match its gas-powered midsize competitors, the Alaska should be able to tow around 5,000 lbs.
